Hi,
This is a look at my last 4 months. I have had a great time here with Kevin and being able to see my sisters and Mum.
We were lucky that we were not involved with any of the really crazy weather, however we have had a lot of very hot weather. Most days over 30c and a few over 40c. Kevin's family that live in Christchurch were also safe.
As you can see my the photos, we also have lots of different animals and creatures. Most not deadly!!! Although I didn't get a photo of the bat in the bathroom..... I have really enjoyed the kangaroos, the most we counted at one time was 14. We do have our little family that stay around on a regular basis. I am disappointed that I was not able to pat one, only got to within three feet of them.
We have done a lot of clearing on our land, but much more to do. The lantana and tea tree are very hard to get rid of.
Mum is doing OK and enjoys our visits, she does like her outings and a little play on the poker machines! Debbie & Judy have been great, we have had a lot of fun being able to spend more time together.
It is hard leaving after all this time, but this is what we have to do for now. I am looking forward to going back to work but not looking forward to the cold weather......
I am on my way home tomorrow, so I will see some of you and for everyone else I hope to hear from you.
Bye for now,
Gai.
